Terms of use
These terms cover the Clasps app and the clasps.app website. Using either means you agree to them. The app is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; where these terms and that agreement differ, the agreement governs the app.
The service
Clasps lets you catalogue a personal collection of jewelry and handbags, keep photographs and records about it, and generate reports from those records. It is a personal tool, provided to you alone; sharing an account is not supported.
Your content
Everything you add to Clasps stays yours. You grant Clasps only the permission needed to store it, sync it between your devices, and render it in the app and in reports you request. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record.
Reports are not advice
Insurance schedules and estate reports are summaries of what you entered. They are not appraisals, legal documents, or financial advice. An estate report is not a will and does not meet the requirements of any jurisdiction on its own; use it to assist your family and legal counsel.
Free tier and Clasps Deluxe
The free tier holds up to fifty pieces across your collection and archive; the wish list is part of Clasps Deluxe. Clasps Deluxe is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple at $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, with prices subject to change with notice. It renews until cancelled in your Apple account settings. If a subscription lapses, nothing you added is deleted; cloud copies of full-size photographs are kept for 90 days, after which only thumbnails remain in the cloud while everything stays on your phone.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Clasps to store content you have no right to, to interfere with the service, or to attempt access to anyone else’s records.
Availability and changes
Clasps is provided as is. We work to keep it available and your data intact, and we back it up, but we can’t promise uninterrupted service. Features may change; if a change removes something you rely on, export first — you always can.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from Profile. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Either way, you can export your collection before it goes.
